Licensed Optical Supervisor

About This Role

As a Licensed Optical Supervisor, you will lead a team of optical professionals, applying your expertise to deliver exceptional customer experiences, oversee daily store operations, and foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet their eyewear needs
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and execute details with flawless accuracy
• Check that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers
• Ensure all operational, service, and staff zoning procedures are executed to Warby Parker standards
• Drive store vision and sales by providing above-and-beyond service on the floor
• Act as the main contact for customer and operational questions
• Work with store management to lead and mentor the Optical team, including Optician Apprentice Program participants
• Help maintain general store systems, inventory databases, and business operations
• Foster and support a productive, positive employee culture in your store

Requirements

• Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states
• 2+ years of experience, including supervisor responsibilities
• Passion for the eyewear and retail industries
• Clear, effective, and professional communication skills
• Dedication to customer satisfaction
• Energetic, positive team player and adaptable
• Extremely detail-oriented, cool under pressure, and capable of juggling responsibilities
• Not on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience, including supervisor responsibilities, as a licensed or ABO-certified optician
