Licensed Optical Supervisor

About This Role

This role involves overseeing optical duties and leading a team of opticians and retail advisors, ensuring excellent customer experiences and smooth store operations for Warby Parker.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to help meet all of their eyewear needs
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and execute these details with flawless accuracy
• Check that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers
• Set store up for success daily by ensuring operational, service, and staff zoning procedures are executed
• Drive store vision and sales by providing above-and-beyond service on the floor
• Act as the main contact for customer and operational questions
• Work with store management to lead and mentor the Optical team
• Help maintain general store systems, inventory databases, and business operations
• Foster and support a productive, positive employee culture in your store

Requirements

• Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states
• 2+ years of experience, including supervisor responsibilities
• Passion for eyewear and retail industries
• Clear, effective, and professional communicator
• Energetic, positive team player and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Extremely detail-oriented, cool under pressure, and capable of juggling responsibilities

• 2+ years of experience, including supervisor responsibilities.
