Provide direct patient care and clinical support for the Ophthalmology department by performing diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and maintaining examining rooms, equipment, and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting clinicians with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures
- Perform patient intake, measurement of strabismus, extraocular rotation exam, sensory testing, pupil assessment, visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry, color vision testing, and visual field testing
- Provide clinical support by setting up and maintaining examining rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Escort patients to examining rooms
- Complete school and other miscellaneous forms
- Independently provide clinician and clinic support for the Ophthalmology department
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No directly related experience required

- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant
