About This Role

Provide direct patient care and clinical support for the Ophthalmology department by performing diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and maintaining examining rooms, equipment, and supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care by assisting clinicians with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures
  • Perform patient intake, measurement of strabismus, extraocular rotation exam, sensory testing, pupil assessment, visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry, color vision testing, and visual field testing
  • Provide clinical support by setting up and maintaining examining rooms, equipment, and supplies
  • Escort patients to examining rooms
  • Complete school and other miscellaneous forms
  • Independently provide clinician and clinic support for the Ophthalmology department

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No directly related experience required

Nice to Have

  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant
