Operations Technician II

About This Role

The Operations Technician II is responsible for adjusting and setting up manufacturing equipment, performing maintenance, and ensuring product quality in a medical device manufacturing environment. This role supports the production of smarter, less invasive, and more personalized treatments for patients.

Responsibilities

• Adjust and set up manufacturing equipment and document corresponding processes
• Support manufacturing by timely repair of equipment and machinery
• Perform corrective and emergency non-planned maintenance activities following approved methods and documentation
• Participate in the transfer of new production lines
• Assemble plastic and metal components into medical devices according to manufacturing procedures
• Perform in-process quality checks on subassemblies and finished products
• Utilize small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and test fixtures
• Maintain clean room integrity by using proper attire and adhering to lab environment practices and procedures
• Maintain accurate records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, labor, and special projects
• Apply workstation practices and line clearance in daily activities

Requirements

• Technical career or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation
• Knowledge of computer package
• Willingness to work 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11pm)

Qualifications

• Technical career or equivalent in Mechanics, Electric, Electro-mechanics, Electronics, Metrology, or instrumentalist
• 3 to 5 years of experience and/or related training

Nice to Have

• Experience in the medical industry
• Knowledge of Campus Systems
• Knowledge of Maximo System (Computerized System for the Management of Maintenance)
• Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)/ISO
• Knowledge of emergency and corrective, non-planned maintenance, calibrations procedures documentation and quality systems
