The Operations Technician II is responsible for adjusting and setting up manufacturing equipment, performing maintenance, and ensuring product quality in a medical device manufacturing environment. This role supports the production of smarter, less invasive, and more personalized treatments for patients.
Responsibilities
- Adjust and set up manufacturing equipment and document corresponding processes
- Support manufacturing by timely repair of equipment and machinery
- Perform corrective and emergency non-planned maintenance activities following approved methods and documentation
- Participate in the transfer of new production lines
- Assemble plastic and metal components into medical devices according to manufacturing procedures
- Perform in-process quality checks on subassemblies and finished products
- Utilize small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and test fixtures
- Maintain clean room integrity by using proper attire and adhering to lab environment practices and procedures
- Maintain accurate records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, labor, and special projects
- Apply workstation practices and line clearance in daily activities
Requirements
- Technical career or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation
- Knowledge of computer package
- Willingness to work 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11pm)
Qualifications
- Technical career or equivalent in Mechanics, Electric, Electro-mechanics, Electronics, Metrology, or instrumentalist
- 3 to 5 years of experience and/or related training
Nice to Have
- Experience in the medical industry
- Knowledge of Campus Systems
- Knowledge of Maximo System (Computerized System for the Management of Maintenance)
- Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)/ISO
- Knowledge of emergency and corrective, non-planned maintenance, calibrations procedures documentation and quality systems
