Operations Manager

About This Role

Lead continuous improvement initiatives and manage all operations staff for a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing plant, focusing on production performance and customer satisfaction. The role ensures efficient manufacturing processes within budget and schedule, maintaining quality and minimizing costs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous improvement in production key measure performance and customer satisfaction for the plant
• Assure adequate staffing and training to execute production and operational plans
• Complete the departmental training and development plan annually
• Complete the annual performance review of direct reports and review indirect reports
• Lead operations function within area of responsibility, providing direct leadership to all Operations staff
• Supervise the operations of production personnel to ensure all manufacturing processes are running within budget and to the schedule
• Be continually aware of customer shipping requirements, work schedules, and quality levels required to meet these schedules
• Ensure that quality is maintained and that costs are held to a minimum
• Manage the Production Superintendents and/or Supervisors on daily schedules, staffing and production attainment

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Operations Management Experience
• Experience with automotive operations and leadership
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field
• 10+ years of Operations leadership experience
• Strong background in IATF 16949
• Metals or welding experience
• Experience in highly automated environments

• 10+ years of Operations leadership experience, minimum 3 years of Operations Management experience
