Operations Manager

About This Role

The Operations Manager will oversee daily business activities, drive efficiency, and ensure operational and safety excellence for a leading structural steel products supplier. This role involves developing and implementing operational strategies and managing staff to optimize productivity and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize productivity and performance
• Manage and supervise operational staff, providing guidance and support
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to enhance operational effectiveness
• Lead business development initiatives to drive growth and profitability
• Oversee project management processes to ensure timely delivery of projects
• Conduct profit-loss analysis and implement cost-saving measures
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals
• Manage procurement responsibilities
• Manage and oversee the Safety program

Requirements

• Strategic planning capabilities
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
• Demonstrated ability in process improvement and operational efficiency
• Ability to read blue prints and customer provided drawings
• Experience in industrial fabrication with proficiency in production equipment
• Experience in business development and project management in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of commercial and employment law applicable to position

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Distribution or proven work experience in related fields
