Operations Manager

About This Role

Oversee all aspects of a dealership's daily operations, including staffing, budgets, and various departments, to ensure profitability. Develop strategies to track sales targets and maintain product inventory that meets market demands.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of daily dealership operations
• Recruit, hire and train office staff
• Attend manager calls and meetings and establish good working relationships with corporate, managers, and staff to ensure successful execution of the annual operating plan
• Implement growth strategies that align with corporate objectives by assessing profit and loss opportunities
• Maintain product inventory that meets the market demands
• Review financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement
• Direct administrative activities related to selling products or providing services
• Maintain excellent communication with team members to ensure dealership profitability and customer satisfaction
• Create and maintain a good working relationship with vendors
• Establish short-term and long-term business objectives and report back with regular progress updates to ensure success
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of all local, state, and federal regulations regarding all aspects of the dealership's business practices and provide any necessary training to personnel regarding these regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3-5 years' experience in Sales Management or General Management in the vehicle dealership industry
• Strong communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to interpret profit and loss statements
