Operations Manager

About This Role

Lead the development and management of a manufacturing facility to produce food ingredients. Play a key role in building a best-in-class processing and distribution enterprise, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while maintaining the cold chain.

Responsibilities

• Create and sustain a safety culture throughout the organization
• Lead up to 20 direct and indirect reports in operations, maintenance, sanitation, and logistics
• Drive compliance with federal, state and local regulations relating to processing human grade products
• Ensure production of quality products are at or below budgeted production costs to meet daily demand
• Drive continuous improvement in the plant's manufacturing processes, including sanitation, maintenance, shipping, receiving, and inventory management
• Resolve issues related to production, equipment, processing and/or packaging operations
• Develop direct reports by way of pay reviews, resource management, performance management, and relevant training
• Provide input into the budgeting process
• Control resources and provide input to policy formation in area of responsibility

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of food manufacturing experience, including management experience
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
