Join a busy orthopedic office as a Nurse Practitioner, providing high-quality care to patients. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, managing pain, prescribing medications, and assisting with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients experiencing pain, including reviewing medical history, performing physical exams, and interpreting diagnostic test results
• Evaluate the intensity, location, duration, and impact of pain on patient’s daily functions
• Work closely with the physician team to establish diagnoses and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs
• Adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines
• Assist with interventional procedures as necessary
• Educate patients and their families about management strategies and self-care techniques
• Promote lifestyle modifications and stress reduction techniques to improve overall well-being
• Guide patients on the importance of adhering to prescribed treatment plans and lifestyle changes for optimal recovery and management

Requirements

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong independent decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics (preferred). New graduates with a strong interest in orthopedics will also be considered.

Nice to Have

• 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics
