About This Role

Serve as a Nurse Practitioner in the Heart & Vascular Department at Texas Health Dallas, providing comprehensive health care by utilizing advanced assessment skills and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize communication and interviewing techniques for comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make appropriate therapeutic decisions
  • Use advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings
  • Synthesize knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to access, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes and promote continuity of care
  • Initiate actions to meet patients/families’ needs and reduce patient risks
  • Perform specialty specific technical procedures safely and proficiently
  • Produce documentation that initiates, follows, and revises patients' plan of care
  • Adhere to clinical pathways, protocols, and policies to ensure high reliability of clinical program
  • Promote population health through evaluation of care delivery models as they pertain to community, environmental, cultural and socio-economical dimensions of health

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Master’s Degree Graduate of Nurse Practitioner program
  • CLIAFE compliant
  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire
  • APRN - Advance Practice Registered Nurse upon hire
  • NP - Nurse Practitioner upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner program completion
  • 2 years of experience as Nurse Practitioner preferred; 1 year experience in Heart & Vascular preferred

Nice to Have

  • 2 years of experience as Nurse Practitioner
  • Acute Care certification
  • 1 year experience in Heart & Vascular
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days
