About This Role

Manage the daily operations of the Gynecology unit at Texas Health Dallas, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective patient care. This role involves staff leadership, quality improvement, budget management, and fostering professional growth within the nursing team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and delegate activities for safe, efficient, and effective operation of the unit
  • Provide resources and guidance to support the utilization of evidence-based practice standards
  • Facilitate activities that prepare unit, environment, and staff to meet credentialing bodies requirements
  • Identify key drivers in throughput processes and develop solutions to barriers
  • Manage patient care processes to improve performance and facilitate delivery of quality patient care
  • Ensure documentation meets hospital and credentialing standards/policy/guidelines
  • Responsible for staffing based on patient care needs and personnel functions including performance reviews and corrective action
  • Promote professional growth and development of all employees
  • Prepare operating and capital budgets for areas of responsibility and manage approved budgets effectively
  • Participate in hospital/department/system committees and stay current with professional activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing
  • 3 Years Experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing
  • 3+ years of experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role
