Night Auditor

About This Role

This role is responsible for overseeing the auditing, posting, and balancing of daily financial transactions for a new Tempo by Hilton hotel, specifically performing night audit tasks to the highest standards. The Night Auditor will also provide personalized guest service and support overall hotel operations.

Responsibilities

• Complete all required training
• Work independently and serve as a key role for overnight hotel support
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property specific brand standards
• Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation and service
• Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate
• Balance the day’s business in a neat, orderly, and timely fashion
• Work all night and be available for other shifts at the front desk when necessary
• Maintain knowledge of all hotel systems including phone PBX, key lock, and PMS reservation systems
• Complete all tasks described on the relevant shift check list
• Check credit of guest accounts daily and follow up if action is required
• Maintain knowledge of the surrounding area
• Keep cash drawer secure and in balance throughout the shift
• Sell and upsell rooms to walk-in guests and phone reservations
• Have general knowledge of housekeeping

Requirements

• Ability to work independently overnight
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
• Ability to use computer PMS systems for check-ins, check-outs, and reservations
• Ability to speak and understand English clearly
