This role is for a New Grad Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care within Atrium Health's Levine Children's Hospital. The nurse will primarily support general pediatric medical surgical units, with opportunities for cross-training in specialty areas.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care
- Deliver care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
- Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience
- Support general pediatric medical surgical units
- Cross-train in specialty areas like Children's ED, CVICU, PICU, Neonatal, Progressive
- Obtain Chemo certification
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Entry level with no prior professional experience required outside of an accredited nursing program.
