Network Team Lead

About This Role

The Network Team Lead will own and evolve the on-site and warehouse network environments for a manufacturing and distribution company based in Memphis. This role involves direct responsibility for Layer 2 network design, stability, and day-to-day performance, leading a small team, and acting as the technical authority for switching and LAN infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, configuration, and ongoing support of the Layer 2 network environment
• Lead two direct reports and provide technical leadership and escalation support
• Manage switches, VLANs, trunking, access ports, and network segmentation across office and warehouse environments
• Act as escalation point for complex network issues and outages
• Provide secondary support for Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and basic identity administration
• Support operational systems including shipping, receiving, and work order platforms

Requirements

• 5+ years of networking or infrastructure experience
• Prior experience leading a small team or acting as a technical lead
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise or industrial switching environments
• Deep understanding of Layer 2 networking in operational settings
• Comfortable being the primary owner of network stability and performance
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 alongside core networking responsibilities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of networking or infrastructure experience

• Basic scripting or automation experience
