Mortgage Underwriter

About This Role

Review, evaluate, and make decisions on a full range of conventional and FHA mortgage loans, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with investor guidelines. This role delivers timely and high-quality credit decisions.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite conventional & FHA loans
• Review applications and documentation for accuracy
• Work with clients to resolve outstanding items
• Ensure Federal, State, and Local compliance
• Approve or deny loans in a timely manner
• Partner with internal teams and support quality standards

Requirements

• Expert-level mortgage underwriting experience
• Strong knowledge of DU/LP
• Understanding of mortgage regulations (including HMDA)
• Excellent communication & decision-making skills
• Must be located in the Eastern Time Zone
