Mobile Phlebotomist

About This Role

This role is for a mobile phlebotomist or health screener who will travel to local companies to perform health screenings and blood draws. It's an event-based position offering flexibility and competitive pay.

Responsibilities

• Perform and record biometric testing results including, but not limited to, height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI
• Perform blood testing including finger stick and/or venipuncture blood draws in a fast-paced environment
• Prepare specimens for storage or additional processing
• Set up and break down portable blood draw/biometric station(s)
• Transport supplies to and from health screening events (lifting up to 20 lbs.)
• Maintain logs and records for all laboratory transactions and information in accordance with department and regulatory requirements
• Work morning availability (Monday–Friday) for event-based employment

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health-approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands-on externship completed OR Over 100 successful finger sticks within the last year or a minimum of 200 successful venipuncture blood draws within the last 6 months
• Active state-specific Phlebotomy certification is required for candidates performing phlebotomy in NV, CA, WA, and LA
• Strong customer service skills
• Previous venipuncture and/or fingerstick experience
• Ability to use a manual blood pressure cuff
• Tech savvy
• Excellent communication skills
• Punctual, responsible, and able to work with limited supervision
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to provide proof of professional credentialing
• Must be available to work a PRN, event-driven position
• Ability to pass a full background check and drug screen
• Reliable transportation required
• Must be computer/internet savvy
• Knowledge and skills necessary to collect blood samples from patients

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• One (1) year of health screening or phlebotomy experience preferred

• One (1) year of health screening or phlebotomy experience
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations
