Medical Assistant

About This Role

This Medical Assistant role involves providing administrative and clinical care to client employees at a Health Center, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent patient care. The position supports a steady workflow with mostly scheduled appointments.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintain patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepare treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments
• Administer medication including injections, perform laboratory tests, operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Perform administrative tasks, assist at the front desk, schedule appointments, make follow-up calls, and order medical supplies

Requirements

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
