Mental Health Screener

About This Role

Conduct screening assessments to determine appropriate services and disposition for mental health patients, focusing on least restrictive alternatives and accurate record-keeping, at Clara Maass Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports in a timely manner prior to end of shift
• Provide hotline information/referral/interventions that conforms to Screening guidelines
• Determine most appropriate services/disposition according to patient's clinical needs, considering least restrictive alternatives
• Ensure screening document clearly describes dangerousness due to mental illness as per Screening Law and DMHS Screener Certification training guidelines
• Ensure screening document reflects clear description of patient's mental illness as per Screening Law and DMHS Certification training guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelors in required field (Psychology)
• Certified Screener or Eligible for certification
• 1 to 2 years’ experience
