Clinical Care Technician

About This Role

Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide nursing care, including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and bedside care, for oncology patients in a fast-paced 32-bed unit at Morris Cancer Center.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Provide nursing care to patients including taking vital signs, EKGS, performing phlebotomy, assisting or providing patients with bedside care
• Provide patient care based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of patients
• Provide for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actions
• Communicate ongoing with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient’s care
• Participate in collaboration of patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Nice to Have

• Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program
• Certified nursing assistant
