This Mental Health Clinician 3 role involves coordinating mental health services for inmates at Hiland Mountain Correctional Center, developing treatment plans, and conducting diagnostic assessments. The position provides clinical and administrative supervision and aims to impact a vulnerable population by supporting rehabilitation and public safety.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate mental health services for inmates housed at Hiland Mountain Correctional Center
- Develop, implement, and maintain treatment plans for inmates assigned to caseload
- Conduct diagnostic screenings and risk assessments of referred inmates through evaluation of existing history, prior psychological testing, clinical observations, and direct interviews
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision to the location’s mental health staff, including appointments, evaluations, and training
Requirements
- Doctoral degree OR Master’s degree from an accredited college in counseling, psychology, social work, child guidance, vocational rehabilitation, or a closely related field
- Knowledge of concepts, principles, and theories of human behavior and performance, mental processes, or assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders (Psychology)
- Knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of physical and mental ailments, and career guidance (Therapy and Counseling)
- Progressively responsible professional experience performing psychotherapeutic casework
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree OR Master’s degree from an accredited college in counseling, psychology, social work, child guidance, vocational rehabilitation, or a closely related field.
