Medication Aide

About This Role

This Med Aide position involves safely administering medications, documenting care, and observing residents for changes in condition. The role also includes assisting residents with daily living activities and building connections with them and their families within an Agemark Senior Living community.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer medications according to physician's orders and residents’ care plans
• Accurately document medication administration and maintain records
• Observe residents for any changes in condition, side effects, or concerns, and promptly report to nursing staff
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, providing compassion and dignity
• Build meaningful connections with residents, families, and team members
• Contribute to a positive and supportive community environment

Requirements

• Active 40-hour Medication Aide certification
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine interest in serving older adults
• Basic computer skills for medication tracking and documentation
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
