Medical Surgical RN

About This Role

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver compassionate, high-quality care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You will collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform admission and ongoing assessment of patient’s condition, notifying doctors of changes requiring attention
• Design, direct, evaluate, and document the patient plan of care, patient/family teaching, and transition of care plan
• Prepare patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries, and diagnostic studies
• Implement patient safety initiatives and protocols including medication safety practices and physician orders
• Reassess patients at appropriate intervals following interventions and adjust nursing care to meet changing needs
• Give and receive report using Bedside Shift Report, ensuring continuity of patient care
• Maintain patient and work environment to maximize safe working space, promptly removing used equipment
• Incorporate national and organizational goals to improve quality, patient safety, and satisfaction

Requirements

• Associates in Nursing or Diploma
• At least one (1) year of RN experience
• Registered Nurse License in Texas
• Basic Life Support - CPR certification

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing or Diploma; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) within 2 years from date of hire
• At least one (1) year of RN experience
