The Medical Receptionist at Baptist Health Urgent Care will greet and register patients, manage patient files, and provide essential administrative support to both patients and medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Welcome all patients and visitors by greeting them in person
- Answer inquiries and direct patients through the registration process
- Answer multi-line phones and complete daily patient callbacks
- Perform filing, faxing, and scanning documentation
- Check in and discharge patients
- Assist clinical staff and close the office at the end of each shift
- Collect all insurance information and verify patient demographics
- Process payments and post patient balances
- Maintain a neat and clean work environment and professional appearance
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of basic computer software
- Ability to learn electronic medical records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in a medical office setting
