Medical Receptionist

About This Role

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the welcoming face of our healthcare facility, ensuring every patient feels valued from the moment they arrive. You will manage front desk operations, support clinical staff, and maintain a compassionate environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, in person and over the phone, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage calendars, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient flow
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using EMR and CRM systems
• Update patient accounts and collect copays when needed
• Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general information and empathy
• Keep the reception area clean, stocked, and organized
• Help with supply orders, inventory management, and courier coordination

Requirements

• 1+ year experience in healthcare customer service background
• Ability to convey information and maintain a positive tone during calls
• Experience coordinating tasks, resources, and schedules
• Experience using MS Office tools for reporting, data analysis, and workflow optimization
• Experience improving patient care and experience
• Willingness to undergo Tuberculosis (TB) screening upon hire

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in healthcare customer service background in retail, hospitality, or call centers also considered

Nice to Have

• Value-based care model experience
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)
