About This Role

Serve as a Medical Office Receptionist for Internal Medicine, responsible for patient intake, administrative support, and front office duties. Ensure efficient patient flow and compliance with clinic policies while providing a welcoming experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient check-in processes for visits, completing all necessary paperwork efficiently and compliantly.
  • Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately to relevant departments or staff.
  • Schedule patient appointments in accordance with established office guidelines.
  • Obtain accurate patient and insurance information for billing and record-keeping.
  • Collect copays and deductible amounts from patients at the time of service.
  • Copy and scan patient access related hard copy materials (e.g., ID, referrals, insurance cards) into the electronic medical record.
  • Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments, ensuring all required information is complete.
  • Perform a variety of general administrative support duties associated with the patient intake process.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

  • Six months of healthcare experience in a clinical setting
  • Six months of customer service experience in a clinical setting or office environment
