Serve as a Medical Assistant in a weight loss clinic, providing patient registration, vital sign collection, and support to physicians during examinations and procedures. This role involves both administrative and clinical duties to ensure patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
- Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
- Assist with immunizations or injections (if certified)
- Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
- Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
- Maintain clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
- Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
- Travel to assist other local clinics as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education in health sciences or related experience
- CPR certification (or willing to become certified)
- Prior experience as MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years in medical office (patient care), OR college degree in health sciences
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
- Prior experience as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years experience in a medical office assisting with patient care, or college graduates from health sciences program
Nice to Have
- Prior experience using an electronic medical record
