About This Role

Join Vivo Infusion as a Medical Assistant, contributing to a collaborative medical team in a new facility in Brookfield, WI. This role involves patient care activities, administrative support, and ensuring efficient clinic operations while delivering compassionate care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of patient care activities rendering quality patients in accordance with standards of practice
  • Room clinic patients in person or virtually and update patient chart with required information
  • Communicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses to ensure quality and continuity of patient care
  • Provide administrative and front-end support including greeting patients, assisting with scheduling, managing phone calls, and processing payments
  • Oversee and ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms
  • Assist provider in the exam room as requested
  • Collect, prepare, and submit ordered patient lab specimens as directed
  • Assist Patient Services team as needed to obtain prior authorizations for prescribed treatments and documents
  • Triage patient phone calls and messages and document them appropriately
  • Order and manage supplies under the direction of manager
  • Disinfect and stock the exam rooms
  • Assist in obtaining records required for the patient’s chart
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, reporting patient issues as needed throughout the treatment day
  • Follow company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • CPR/BLS certification prior to start date
  • 1 year of experience working within a clinical environment
  • 1 year in an administrative, patient-facing, or customer service role

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience working within a clinical environment and 1 year in an administrative, patient-facing, or customer service role
