About This Role

Serve as a Medical Assistant for MOOV Health & Wellness, supporting physician-guided patient care and concierge services for clients focused on outpacing aging. This role is crucial for facilitating smooth patient flow, assisting providers, and ensuring accurate medical record documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Triage, vital, and room patients
  • Facilitate patient flow and ensure smooth running of the back office
  • Collect clinical intake information including medical history, medications, vital signs, allergies, and information on presenting illness/injury
  • Administer medications/injections under the supervision of a physician or advanced provider
  • Perform ordered procedures such as EKG, visual acuity, venipuncture specimen collection, and assist providers during procedures
  • Collect and perform Point-of-Care testing (e.g., influenza, Strep A, Covid-19, urine dipstick)
  • Review visit summaries and home care instructions with patients, including prescriptions and follow-up care
  • Provide after-visit follow-up phone calls to all patients and relay diagnostic testing results
  • Provide navigational care for patients, coordinating referrals, following up on medications, and ordering from pharmacies
  • Maintain accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times, complying with patient privacy laws
  • Welcome members and guests, answer inquiries, and assist Front Desk Concierge with client needs
  • Monitor inventory for expiration and order supplies, maintaining equipment operation and cleanliness of rooms
  • Assist in daily center operations including opening, closing, and maintaining the facility

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current Medical Assistant certification from an accredited institution (unless state allows on-the-job training)
  • Proof of BLS certification (if on-the-job training in lieu of certification is allowed)
  • Knowledge of clinical compliance and HIPAA regulations
  • Solid understanding of office procedures
  • Excellent time management, customer service, and communication skills
  • Ability to follow facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures
  • Familiarity with charting in an electronic health record
  • Punctual and dependable

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or med spa setting preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Healthcare experience in an urgent care or primary care setting
  • 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or med spa setting
