Medical Assistant

About This Role

The Medical Assistant is responsible for rooming patients, taking vital signs, completing HEDIS/Star measures, performing lab draws and point-of-care testing. This role also involves answering calls and processing faxes.

Responsibilities

• Room patients
• Take vital signs
• Complete HEDIS/Star measures
• Perform lab draws
• Conduct Point of Care (POC) testing
• Answer calls
• Process faxes

Requirements

• High school graduate, GED or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a MA school diploma
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross)
• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant

Qualifications

• High school graduate, GED or equivalent, and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a MA school diploma
