Medical Assistant - Telepresenter

About This Role

The Medical Assistant will provide support to the telemental health (TMH) provider by assisting with clinic visits, preparing patients, and offering administrative support at Mule Creek State Prison. This role involves coordinating care and supporting the mental health team's daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support under the supervision of the Chief Psychiatrist and administrative supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse
• Assist the Staff Telemental Health (TMH) provider
• Support TMH provider in a variety of health care settings
• Assist with telemental health clinic visits
• Prepare patients for telemental health sessions
• Provide administrative support for clinics as needed
• Assist with on-site correspondence and care coordination between TMH and on-site staff
• Provide support to the mental health care team for daily operations

Requirements

• Active certification status prior to appointment into the classification
