About This Role

This role involves assisting in providing nursing care to patients within a medical group practice, performing direct patient care tasks like lab work and injections, and supporting providers with exams and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing nursing care to practice patients
• Help maintain the functions of a medical group practice
• Provide direct patient care by doing lab work and venipuncture
• Ready patients for exams
• Assist providers with exams and procedures
• Administer injections and treatments as ordered
• Coordinate patient calls/walk-ins in emergent situations
• Assist in other functions of the medical group practice as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant Certification

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• No experience required if medical assistant program has been completed and certification received. Preferred: Two or more years of patient care, giving injections, working labs, etc. in an outpatient setting.

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
