This role involves assisting in providing nursing care to patients within a medical group practice, performing direct patient care tasks like lab work and injections, and supporting providers with exams and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing nursing care to practice patients
- Help maintain the functions of a medical group practice
- Provide direct patient care by doing lab work and venipuncture
- Ready patients for exams
- Assist providers with exams and procedures
- Administer injections and treatments as ordered
- Coordinate patient calls/walk-ins in emergent situations
- Assist in other functions of the medical group practice as needed
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Certification
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- No experience required if medical assistant program has been completed and certification received. Preferred: Two or more years of patient care, giving injections, working labs, etc. in an outpatient setting.
Nice to Have
- Two or more years of patient care, giving injections, working labs, etc. in an outpatient setting
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
