About This Role

Assist licensed practitioners in providing patient care by performing duties as directed. This role performs all aspects of an MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs and functions for the assigned clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing patient care to assigned patients
  • Perform all aspects of the MA I role
  • Perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants OR Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program OR Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces OR Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 6 months healthcare experience
  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
  • 6 months healthcare experience; 6 months Medical Assistant experience; Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes specified clinical skills if not a graduate of an accredited program or apprenticeship
