About This Role

This role involves assisting in providing patient care under the delegation of a licensed practitioner, performing a range of clinical duties, and collaborating with caregivers to deliver patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients
  • Perform all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) role
  • Perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
  • OR Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
  • OR Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
  • OR Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 6 months of Healthcare experience
  • 6 months of Medical Assistant experience

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
  • 6 months of Healthcare experience; 6 months of Medical Assistant experience; Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
