Join Mountain View Hospital as a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant to order, collect, and process routine and specialty testing, returning results to doctors, and providing excellent customer service to patients and medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Order, collect, process routine and specialty testing, and return results to doctors
- Obtain and process doctor's orders and perform data entry
- Provide good customer service on the phone, to patients, doctors, and other medical staff
- Collect blood samples ensuring proper patient identification and labeling samples
- Follow clinic & hospital policies and procedures for transporting/delivering samples to the laboratory
- Perform CLIA waived moderate testing
- Handle laboratory supplies and stock supplies
- Ensure patients receive appropriate competent and quality clinical care and that customer service meets patient’s expectation
- Monitor and manage patient and staff incidents
- Maintain strict quality control for procedures
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS Certification
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have
- Phlebotomy course
- Phlebotomy experience
