Medical Assistant - Continued Care

About This Role

This Medical Assistant role provides essential assistive services to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate information gathering, and comprehensive patient care within a clinic setting. The position also involves critical patient access duties, supporting overall patient care delivery and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Interview patient and document patient’s response in the medical record according to standard
• Administer and document prescribed medications (oral, intramuscular, intradermal, subcutaneous, inhaled, drops) and treatments in accordance with organizational standards
• Observe, record, and report patient’s response to medications and treatments to provider(s)
• Document and communicate medication refills
• Assist provider with examinations and procedures, including preparing sterile field and properly maintaining equipment before and after procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program (if hired after 06/01/2021)
• CMA - Certified Or Registered Medical Assistant
• Basic Life Support certification

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma is required. If hired after 06/01/2021 required to complete a Medical Assistant training program.

Nice to Have

• Six months physician’s office or healthcare setting experience
