About This Role

Provide high-quality and efficient patient care as a Clinical Medical Assistant, preparing patients for examinations, assisting with medical procedures, and managing administrative tasks. This role ensures comprehensive patient support within a multi-specialty group.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments, including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments and sterilization
  • Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
  • Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
  • Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen for referrals

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program OR twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting OR current Medical Assistant certification
  • Medical Assistants without certification must obtain certification within one year of hire date (if applicable)

Certifications

Medical Assistant Certification (if not possessing accredited degree or 12 months experience) (Required)
