About This Role

This role involves ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating unit/department functions during designated shifts. You will collaborate with the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care, acting as a resource person for staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure and deliver high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift
  • Direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures
  • Serve as a resource person for staff
  • Model a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
  • Support facility efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage practical aspects of staff labor
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
