Mechanical Project Manager

About This Role

Manage all aspects of mechanical projects for a nationally established, employee-owned organization, focusing on commercial, healthcare, and institutional markets. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget by leading project teams and managing financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of mechanical projects, including documentation, scheduling, procurement, and cost control
• Conduct change order pricing and negotiate contracts to optimize cost-effectiveness
• Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient collaboration among team members
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
• Understand and adhere to corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc., and their impact on project activities
• Manage project budgets and financial reporting, ensuring that projects are financially successful
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to OSHA-30 certification standards
• Handle stressful situations in a courteous, professional, and diplomatic manner
• Continually learn and adapt to new software systems to improve efficiency and productivity

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical project management
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Science or equivalent
• Thorough understanding of construction design, finance, and management
• OSHA-30 certification
• Proven experience in managing commercial projects and project budgets
• Excellent negotiation skills and experience in change order pricing
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Science, or equivalent levels of technical training and related experience
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical project management, preferably in the Engineering industry
