Manage all aspects of mechanical projects for a nationally established, employee-owned organization, focusing on commercial, healthcare, and institutional markets. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget by leading project teams and managing financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of mechanical projects, including documentation, scheduling, procurement, and cost control
- Conduct change order pricing and negotiate contracts to optimize cost-effectiveness
- Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient collaboration among team members
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Understand and adhere to corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc., and their impact on project activities
- Manage project budgets and financial reporting, ensuring that projects are financially successful
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to OSHA-30 certification standards
- Handle stressful situations in a courteous, professional, and diplomatic manner
- Continually learn and adapt to new software systems to improve efficiency and productivity
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical project management
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Science or equivalent
- Thorough understanding of construction design, finance, and management
- OSHA-30 certification
- Proven experience in managing commercial projects and project budgets
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience in change order pricing
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Science, or equivalent levels of technical training and related experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical project management, preferably in the Engineering industry
