About This Role

Effectively oversee and manage the construction of mechanical or multi-disciplined projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to customer satisfaction. This role involves managing material and labor, mentoring project personnel, and maintaining high quality for installations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the construction of large and/or multiple smaller scale mechanical or multi-disciplined projects.
  • Manage projects according to established construction budgets to ensure customer satisfaction and quality of installation.
  • Manage handling of material and labor to ensure timely and smooth-running project(s).
  • Assist in training Project Supervisors, Project Foremen, and Technicians.
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
  • Create, maintain, and follow a construction schedule, assigning appropriate personnel.
  • Determine and advise on local laws concerning landfills, carting companies, mechanical codes, and permitting.
  • Ensure safety practices are followed and work is performed in a safe, productive manner.
  • Efficiently manage multiple energy efficiency projects concurrently.
  • Prepare and deliver performance evaluations for project foremen and technicians.
  • Maintain effective communications at all levels, including internal and external resources.
  • Manage subcontractors per contractual requirements, both internally and onsite.
  • Manage a clean and safe work site, including proper recycling and waste disposal.
  • Walk project sites before installation to identify specialized equipment and account for scheduled work.
  • Verify the correctness and quality of work, ensuring it fulfills or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Accurately monitor, track, and maintain records/reporting of all materials utilized and remaining.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure deliverables are executed in a timely manner.
  • Procure storage facilities for project materials and equipment.
  • Create and Maintain Project Risk Plans.
  • Oversee Project Quality Assurance Requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of project management experience in commercial or industrial construction
  • 2+ years of supervisory/management experience of teams/crews
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project)
  • OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of project management experience in commercial or industrial construction with 2+ years of supervisory experience

Nice to Have

  • PMP certification
