Mechanical Engineer

About This Role

Perform comprehensive mechanical, plumbing, and process piping designs, from initial basis of design development to construction administration, ensuring coordination with project stakeholders and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of mechanical, plumbing, and process piping designs
• Write basis of design (BOD) documents
• Conduct field surveys
• Perform load calculations
• Select appropriate equipment
• Coordinate design with architects and other engineers
• Produce drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
• Present designs to clients
• Fill out plan check applications and submit to the city
• Coordinate the application process for plan checks
• Attend OAC (Owner Architect Contractor) meetings
• Review equipment submittals
• Answer Requests for Information (RFIs)
• Create punch lists for construction administration

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil and Environmental Engineering
• CA State PE License
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Proficiency in Revit
