The Materials Planner/Coordinator will manage material movements and coordinate new product shipments within a manufacturing environment, ensuring materials are correctly positioned to meet build schedules by partnering with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate shipments for new products and route engineering-owned material to appropriate locations.
- Manage the Project Services Fremont mailbox and material reservations in inventory locations.
- Coordinate material transfers from Engineering into unrestricted inventory or labs.
- Partner cross-functionally to resolve delivery issues impacting build schedules.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting to the Product Group and stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships across Program/Product Management, Engineering, Production Control, and Supply Chain.
- Communicate clear directions for inventory movement between warehouses, the production floor, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with SAP transactions (MD04, MB51, LS24, ME27, MB21, MB22, MB23)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, formulas)
- Experience with PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Self-starter with problem-solving and critical-thinking ability
Qualifications
- High School diploma or higher
Nice to Have
- Project management experience
- Ability to read/interpret multi-level product BOMs
- Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI)
