Manufacturing Engineer

About This Role

Drive manufacturing productivity and efficiency by analyzing, designing, and implementing tools, processes, and equipment. You will rotate through projects and departments to gain exposure to various manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between projects and departments to gain exposure to manufacturing processes and tools
• Develop skills in Lean Tools implementation, Ergonomic Improvement, Layout Generation & PFEP, Jig & Fixture Design, Manufacturing Process Creation and Work Instruction Development
• Analyze and design manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
• Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs
• Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Assist with managing capital expenditures as assigned
• Deliver on productivity targets as outlined in the annual operating plan

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or other relevant technical field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• Knowledge of value stream mapping, problem solving, facilitation and Lean principles and tools
• Training with SolidWorks or other layout and design software
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
• Hands on Mechanical skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or other relevant technical field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Environment
