About This Role

The Manufacturing Engineer II will drive manufacturing excellence by developing, improving, and optimizing production processes. This role focuses on technical leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness within Modine Manufacturing Company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies
  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to improve production efficiency and product quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and design engineering to resolve manufacturing issues
  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Support new product introductions by providing design for manufacturing feedback to design engineering and then developing and validating manufacturing processes
  • Create and maintain process documentation including standard work, work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed
  • Participate in capital equipment selection and justification
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues

Requirements

  • 2-7 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing data analysis tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
  • 2-7 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
