About This Role

The Manufacturing Engineer at RBC Bearings develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods by utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment. This role focuses on optimizing workflow and efficiency within the manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow
  • Design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
  • Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs for management decisions
  • Communicate manufacturing capabilities and production schedules to facilitate processes
  • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange equipment, material, and parts purchases
  • Evaluate products based on specifications and quality standards
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4-6 years of experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of subject matter

Qualifications

  • Intermediate materials, metal and heat treating knowledge
  • Working knowledge of press operation, grinding, and lathe equipment
