Manufacturing Engineer

About This Role

This role involves designing, researching, prototyping, and improving manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with various teams to meet project goals and customer requirements, focusing on fabrication processes within the transportation industry.

Responsibilities

• Design, research, and prototype manufacturing solutions
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation
• Estimate project costs and timelines
• Implement process improvements in manufacturing
• Work with engineers, technicians, and purchasing to achieve project goals
• Complete projects on time and according to customer requirements

Requirements

• Demonstrated high level of fabrication intuition
• Strong knowledge of fabrication materials and their interactions
• Proficient with 2D and 3D interpretation, modeling and detailing (DraftSight, AutoCAD, Solidworks)
• Experience with PPAP process and all related documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams
• Self-directed individual who works well within a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice to Have

• Previous experience with IC engines and fuel systems
• Hands on experience with machining, metal fabrication, cutting lasers, turrets and press brakes
• Familiarity with technical requirements, specifications, designs and codes within the transportation industry
• Experience with tooling design
