Manufacturing Engineer

About This Role

This highly qualified Manufacturing Engineer position involves planning, designing, optimizing, and supervising manufacturing processes. The role focuses on creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures to assemble, test, and manufacture products.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes
• Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments
• Analyze manufacturing process flows continually for quality enhancement, cost reduction, and throughput
• Collaborate with configuration control and design engineering on product tooling and design for effectual production methods
• Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange equipment, parts, and material purchases
• Estimate staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs for operational decisions
• Work closely with the manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees
• Design and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, including fixtures and tooling
• Provide engineering support in the production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
• Support company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and good manufacturing practices

Requirements

• University education in engineering and/or science
• 3-5 years of OEM (manufacturing) MRP/ERP system build, implementation, and support experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
• Excellent communication skills (English – written and oral)
• Excellent time management and work organizational skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• University education (undergraduate degree at minimum, graduate degree preferred) in engineering and/or science
• 3-5 years of OEM (manufacturing) MRP/ERP system build, implementation, and support experience

Nice to Have

• Graduate degree in engineering and/or science
• Experience in the automotive industry
• Ability to grasp modern technology quickly
