This Manufacturing Engineer role at a client in San Antonio focuses on improving manufacturing processes, working with teams, and applying PFMEA and Lean/Six Sigma principles to enhance production efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and improve manufacturing processes (layouts, tooling, fixtures, gauging, documentation)
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma
- Create and maintain PFMEAs and support robust process control
- Troubleshoot production issues and support day‑to‑day manufacturing
- Support new product introductions (NPI) and design‑for‑manufacturability efforts
- Participate in Kaizen, VA/VE, cost‑out, capital equipment, and safety initiatives
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or similar
- Experience supporting manufacturing or assembly operations
- Working knowledge of PFMEA, GD&T, MSA, capability studies, tooling & fixtures
- Strong communication skills
- Comfort working cross-functionally
- Lean or Six Sigma project experience
- Ability to start immediately
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or similar
- Experience supporting manufacturing or assembly operations (internship, co-op, or full-time)
