The Manufacturing Engineer I designs, develops, and implements new and improved manufacturing equipment and processes for medical devices, contributing to the operations team.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new and improved manufacturing equipment using CAD software and other engineering tools
- Support the implementation of new equipment into the manufacturing process
- Execute, document, and support the line validation/qualification activities, including IQ, OQ, PQ, MSA, and generation of work instructions and control plans
- Research, analyze, and present opportunities for improvement to manufacturing processes
- Participate in Design for Assembly (DFA) / Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities to verify manufacturability of Product Designs
Requirements
- 1+ years’ experience as a Manufacturing/Production Engineer
- Medical Devices or Military industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Lean manufacturing experience with knowledge of lean manufacturing methods and procedures
- Knowledge of DFM/DFA
- Knowledge of CAD software, electromechanical design, and other engineering tools
- Experience with Manufacturing Quality and Product Development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 1+ years’ experience as a Manufacturing/Production Engineer
Nice to Have
- Experience with automation and robotics
- Experience with regulatory compliance, specifically ISO13485
