Manual Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

About This Role

This role is for a detail-oriented Functional QA Engineer to perform manual functional testing, API validation using Postman, and backend testing with SQL. The engineer will collaborate in an Agile environment to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and business logic
• Design and execute manual functional test cases based on user stories, requirements, and design documents
• Perform API testing using Postman, validating request/response accuracy, status codes, error handling, and performance
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and perform backend testing
• Identify, document, and track bugs in a clear and concise manner using tools such as JIRA
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos
• Contribute to the QA process by suggesting improvements in test strategy and coverage
• Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation and regression test suites

Requirements

• Functional programming experience
• API testing experience with Postman
• SQL skills
• Experience working in Agile development environments
