The Manager, Operations ensures efficient operations and achieves profitability and omni-channel goals. This role oversees expense management, shortage prevention, staffing, merchandise flow, customer service, and maintains housekeeping and safety standards. They report directly to the Director, Stores Operations and offer a path to Regional Operations, Asset Protection, or Store Management.
Responsibilities
- Manage payroll and non-payroll expenses, directly responsible for EBIT%
- Direct receiving and processing of all merchandise receipts; ensure back-of-house standards are maintained
- Analyze store shortages and implement reduction initiatives in partnership with the Asset Protection Manager
- Train, motivate, and develop the operations team to maximize their potential and business opportunities
- Oversee total store maintenance to create a safe and clean environment for customers and colleagues
- Manage supply budgets and ensure the store remains stocked with selling supplies and other required items
- Initiate and implement shortage and safety programs
- Recruit and select qualified support Colleagues
- Create a positive, inclusive work environment focusing on internal and external customer service and safety
- Monitor and address performance issues promptly; administer reviews and check-ins
Requirements
- 3-5 years of prior management experience, preferably in a retail environment
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs and stand for at least two consecutive hours
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
